As I return to doing yoga 1x a week, I’m reminded of the importance of the breath. As easy as I forget, I am grateful how quickly my mind and body remember. In my work, I teach my clients breathing as a coping skill to help with self regulation. There is research that supports the benefits to physical and mental health, which I will often refer to as the mind-body.
