Why I Like It

Banza Mac and Cheese has a better than 2:1 Net Carb to Protein Ratio, 16g Protein and a mere 290 Calories per Serving (versus over 400 Calories for a comparable Kraft Mac n Cheese). Runner up favorite is Muscle Mac. Both are Low Glycemic, and high fiber. Banza is also Gluten Free, while Muscle Mac boasts it is GMO-Free.

Easy to prepare. Boil pasta for just 7-10 minutes, strain, add some milk or equivalent, optional butter and included cheese sauce/mix. For a single bowl, balanced meal, add 1/2 cup of frozen vegetables (like peas and carrots, edamame, etc.) I also like to boost the protein even more by stirring in some canned tuna (adds an extra ~18g protein per serving), and browning/broiling the top with a sprinkle of grated/shredded cheese.
